NASA will return its Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft to the launch pad next week and hopes to launch its Artemis II moon mission on April 1.

NASA will soon give it another go on April Fools' Day. On Thursday, NASA said it's targeting April 1 at 6:24 PM ET for the Artemis II mission's next launch attempt. In case that date doesn't pan out,

The Artemis II mission will be the first on which this NASA rocket and capsule carry people. The crew will be the first to travel to the moon in more than 50 years.

NASA says it is rolling the Artemis II rocket back out to its launch pad one week from Thursday in the hopes of an April 1 launch date. CBS News space consultant Bill Harwood has more.
