Mayon Volcano enters its 21st day of effusive eruption. On the night of January 27, Phivolcs recorded crater glow, lava flows, PDCs ("uson"), and rockfalls in the Mi-isi, Bonga, and Basud Gullies. Phivolcs noted that Mayon's current activity mirrors the 2023 eruption, which lasted about 6 months (April–September), though an explosive eruption remains possible.
